Listen: Highlights from Naumburg Orchestral Concerts

On this WQXR New York in Concert program, we’ll hear highlights drawn from the Naumburg Orchestral Concerts series in Central Park. Since 1905 the series has provided free classical concerts throughout the summer to a loyal New York audience.We'll hear excerpts from two ensembles who perform almost every summer at the Bandshell.  ECCO - also known as the East Coast Chamber Orchestra perform works by Turina, Monteverdi and Lutosławski.  And Brooklyn's own band - The Knights - will perform one of Mozart's most beloved symphonies, his No. 40.
