On Tuesday, July 19, WQXR’s Paul Cavalconte hosted The Knights at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park.This eclectic program included Bartók's Suite Paysanne Hongroise for flute and string orchestra, Busoni's (arr. Arnold Schoenberg), Berceuse élégiaque, Dvořák's Bagatelles, Op. 47, Boccherini's Quintet for flute and strings in G Minor, Op. 19, Shawn Conley's Yann’s Flight (World Premiere, as arranged), J. Strauss II's (arr. Arnold Schoenberg) Kaiser-Walzer, and Taraf De Haïdouks, A Stork Crosses the Danube, in the Company of a Raven.
